The Holy Mass is a celebration because it is Christ who acts in the person of the priest. Jesus Christ offers Himself for us as He offered Himself on the Cross. Hence, we say that the Mass is the same sacrifice of Jesus Christ, offered on the altar in an unbloody manner. Just like Jesus offered His Body and Blood on the Cross, He offers Himself for us on the altar. The difference is that Jesus offered Himself visibly on the Cross but on our altar He offers Himself invisibly and in an unbloody manner, hidden under the appearance of bread and wine.

La Misa Sagrada es una celebración porque es Cristo que actúa en la persona del sacerdote. Jesucristo ofrece a Si Mismo igual que cuando se ofreció en la Cruz. Por eso, decimos que la Misa es el mismo sacrificio de Jesucristo, ofrecido en el altar en una manera sin sangre. Justo como Jesús ofreció Su Cuerpo y Sangre en la Cruz, ofrece a Si Mismo para nosotros en el altar. La diferencia es que Jesús se ofreció visiblemente en la Cruz pero en nuestro altar Se ofrece invisiblemente y en una manera sin sangre, escondido bajo la apariencia de pan y vino.
